Looking for that truly special holiday home? Contemporary interior with lots of space. ‘Wind of the Castle’ in Harlech has 4 bedrooms & sleeps 9-11 guests, 2 bathrooms, it really has it all!

Lounge Holidays is delighted to be offering this property, which is one of Harlechs premier holiday home.  Set in an elevated location, with fabulous sea and mountain views and just 5-10 mins walk to the historic town. The beautiful west facing sandy beaches & dunes are just a short drive.  FREE WIFI of course.

The house is on a small cul-de-sac where there are similar detached houses on either side, but it’s not really overlooked.  Built in the 90’s, but recently fully refurbished to a very high standard, to include central heating and double glazing, a lovely designer kitchen & 2 bathrooms.  The front garden and terrace face West, providing a perfect sun trap to enjoy the sun from mid-morning right through to sunset, a perfect setting for sunbathing and al-fresco dining.

Set in Snowdonia National Park, Harlech (a world heritage site and the castle is not to be missed), is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want.  For those with families, miles of sweeping sandy beaches can be found all along the coast.   If you're into cycling or horse riding, there are numerous scenic places to ride. This is a walker paradise with miles of glorious walk nearby!  If you're not the active type, there is lots to do in Harlech and Barmouth with independent shops, pubs and eateries or how about a ride along the coast on the scenic Cambrian Coast Railway?



With access off the level drive, you enter the house VIA the conservatory.  This is a light and airy ‘chill out’ space which leads on to the living room, diner, kitchen, guest cloakroom and 4th bedroom.  The room has wooden flooring, big panoramic double glaze windows with views of the mountains behind.  There is a 2 seater and 2 arm chairs plus a coffee table.

There is a guest cloak room with WC and a utility room which has a washing machine & tumble-dryer and provided a useful 'boot room' for walkers.


A lovely ‘Shaker style’ kitchen with tiled floor, enjoying a vista over the side garden with coastal views.  The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you require to cook for a large family or group, including dishwasher, built in microwave and much more. The kitchen boasts a superb range of integrated appliances, including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven & grill, 5 ring gas hob.  A breakfast bar divides the dining area.  


The lovely dining area with real wood flooring has a ‘designer’ extendable glass top table with seating for up to 10 guests. The dining area has patio glass doors leading into the big sunny terrace.


The sitting room, also with real wood flooring has cozy seating for 6 people (plus other occasional chairs) enjoys fantastic views over the terrace towards the coast, through the double sliding doors.  There is a 40” TV/DVD with SKY, WIFI of course, glass top coffee table and a book case with DVD's books and games.


With brilliant multi jet walk in shower, WC and pedestal wash hand basin. Stunning ‘Italian style’ tiling floor to ceiling.


Sleeps 2.  With a new leather 2 seater bed settee, twin fitted wardrobes with overhead cupboards, 2 X 3 drawer bed side tables. Carpeted flooring.  Toys & games. 

Bed settee available for 2 extra guests. A £35 supplement per extra person applies.


BEDROOM 1/ Double room: sleeps 2

A white ‘brass style’ king size bed, two built in wardrobes, dressing table and 2 X bed side table. Carpeted flooring.  Lovely panoramic sea views.

BEDROOM 2/ Large family bedroom: sleeps 4/5

A double divan size bed and twin beds, 2 built in wardrobe with drawers and 3 X bed side tables. Carpeted flooring.  Pull out bed/chair for one child.  Lovely Mountain views to the side. 

Travel cot & high chair also available.

BEDROOM 3/ Double room: sleeps 2

A white ‘brass style’ double size bed, Two built in wardrobes, overhead built in cupboards and 2 X bed side table. Carpeted flooring.  Wash hand basin.


With bath, ‘beachy style’ wood panelled walls, lovely views, walk in electric shower cubicle, WC and pedestal wash hand basin. Tile effect flooring.


Front garden & patio: West facing which benefits from the sun all day and enjoying amazing panoramic, sea, coastal, rural landscape with the Llyn Peninsular and Snowdonia mountains in the foreground. There are three levels at the front, the main one being the wood decked patio area with lovely glass top rattan table & 10 chairs/stools for alfresco dining. Sun loungers are available and guests have use of a family size barbecue which is stored in the garage.

Rear garden: With mature shrubs, pot plants, stunning views of the mountains off road parking spaces for 3-4 cars.


NB: The property comfortably sleeps 9, (8 adults only) but we can accommodate 11,(2 guest sleeping on a bed settee) A £35 per extra person surcharge applies.

We do not take dogs at this property.

We have a minimum charge of £499 for any stay.

Friday changeovers in the main season.

We ask for a 25% deposit on booking & a £35 booking fee.

The balance is due 8 weeks before.

There is a £250 security deposit, which we will return within 14 days provided there are no breakages or damage.

Rates shown below are per night or for the whole week. Where a nightly rate is shown, we offer a 4 night midweek break arriving on Monday leaving on Friday and a 3 night weekend break arriving on Friday leaving on Monday.
