Lounge Holidays are thrilled to offer ‘Quay Side Apartment’ in Barmouth a really special harbour-front, contemporary style holiday apartment which enjoys spectacular views of Brunel’s iconic wooden railway bridge, the harbour and ‘The Sublime’   Mawddach Estuary.  Spacious and open-plan, with two bedrooms and a shower/bath-room, this gorgeous apartment has lovely features including a big bay window and feature fireplace.  The south west-facing aspect affords stunning views of the bridge, harbour and estuary.   The apartment has recently been renovated & decorated with new furniture, fittings and designer bedding.  From the open plan living room you can watch the tides roll in and with the beach located right opposite you could be soaking up the sun all day on the golden sands or in the dunes, then enjoying the spectacular sunset over Cardigan Bay. For those cooler times of year there is electric heating, double glazing and of course the apartment has free WIFI throughout.

The apartment is also pet & smoke FREE, so great for guests with allergies. 

Miles of sweeping sandy beaches and stunning walks are just a stone’s throw from the apartment.  As well as a fantastic location with views, this lovely holiday home is only a two minute walk to Barmouth town centre with its shops and good pubs and eateries.  There is no designated parking but there are free parking spaces outside over night as well the main town car park 500m away. Even in high season there is usually no problem parking close by.The property also has a parking permit for the main carpark included at no extra cost. 

Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, this lovely Apartment is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. For those with families miles of sweeping sandy beaches await you, or perhaps you could explore nearby Harlech Castle – a World Heritage Site.  If you're into cycling or horse-riding there are numerous scenic places to ride and the internationally-famous mountain-biking centre at Coed y Brenin just 20 minutes away. This is a walker’s paradise with the Mawddach Trail & Taith Ardudwy Way very close, whilst the Wales Coast Path passes the front door! For those seeking a little more challenge Cadair Idris lies at the head of the Mawddach Estuary, and Snowdon can be reached in less than an hour. If you're not the active type, then how about a ride on the Cambrian Coast railway – one of the UK’s most scenic railway routes all the way along this glorious coast line – or maybe one of the famous narrow-gauge steam railways that proliferate in this corner of Wales?

ACCOMODATION:

Entrance

Entering from the rear of the building up the metal fire escape the apartment is on the second floor.  Not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Living room.

The main open-plan living area enjoys fabulous views, framed by the big bay window. With carpet flooring, high cornice ceilings & feature fireplace this room is really something special! In front of the bay window are 2 easy chairs to enjoy the views.

The sitting area has cosy leather seating for 4 guests, including 1 X 2 seater, and 1 X armchair and a large 'pouf' foot stool with hidden storage. Also books games etc.   There is ‘Panasonic’ 40” flat-screen TV with Freeview, SKY package, plus a DVD.

Kitchen

The kitchen area next to the living area is defined by a breakfast bar / archway and features laminate flooring.  The kitchen has newly fitted kitchen units with wood block-look worktops, ‘Shaker cream gloss style’ units, a built in oven, electric hob & extractor hood over, microwave and, fridge/freezer box.  The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect in a well presented holiday home.

Hallway

In the hallway is a dining area, where there is a lovely oak, dining table with 4 chairs and a side board.

The hallway leads to the bedrooms. 

Bedroom ONE - sleeps 2
With king -size ‘brass style’ bed, twin wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, 5 drawer chest of drawers. Storage heater . Both the bedrooms are carpeted.

Bedroom TWO - sleeps 2
With adult size bunk beds, double wardrobe with shelves, window with harbour and estuary views. Electric heater.  Both the bedrooms are carpeted.

Family Bath/Shower room (pictures to follow)
Bath with electric shower and glass enclosure, pedestal wash hand basin, toilet, floor & wall tiling, heated towel rail and mirror.  

Additional information:

There is no designated parking, but there is plenty of parking nearby and guests have the use of a parking permit, so no additioanl cost to you.

A truly exceptional property for your summer holiday, winter & weekend break.

Short breaks when available out of the main school holidays: Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. Arrivals from 4.00 pm vacate by 10.00 am. A minimum charge of £250 applies to every booking.

Christmas dates 22nd to 29th Dec & New Year 30th December to 5th January

Where a 1 week minimum applies, our changeover day is SATURDAY 

Prices shown are in pounds sterling per week, inclusive of energy, heating, bedding & towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

We also have a travel cot & high chair.  Baby bedding is not provided.

Strictly NO PETS sorry.  

We request a 25% deposit on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date. We also ask for a £150 security deposit, which is refundable providing there are no breakages or damage to the property.

We accept payment by BACS bank transfer ,Card payments VIA PAYPAL or by cheque. A £35 booking fee applies to each booking.

Rates shown below are per night or for the whole week. Where a nightly rate is shown, we offer a 4 night midweek break arriving on Monday leaving on Friday and a 3 night weekend break arriving on Friday leaving on Monday.
