Lounge Holidays are thrilled to offer ‘Barmouth ocean view premium apartment’, a really special ground floor contemporary styled holiday apartment which enjoys spectacular coastal and scenic views.  Spacious and open-plan, with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sleeping 4. The location is a quiet cul-de-sac, a place to commence a short walk to town or over the hills with breathtaking views over this majestic river estuary and monumentally enormous sandy beaches extending far away. 

As soon as you walk into the entrance hall you will feel the sense of grandeur with its fabulous Victorian floor tiling.  The apartment boasts impressive space, with its high ceilings and air of grandness with elegant period features such as high ceilings, plaster mouldings, ceiling roses & deep skirting window seats and fireplaces as well as its added design flair to create something truly wonderful. Ocean view is slightly elevated which provides stunning sea views and Barmouths award winning sandy beach from the lounge with an outlook enhanced by the nearby church and scenic hillside inland.  The property is a 2 minute walk from the beach & spectacular walks and all the amities Barmouth has to offer.

For those cooler times of year there is central heating, a cozy log burner for those chilly evenings, double glazing and free WIFI throughout.

The apartment is also pet & smoke FREE, so great for guests with allergies.

There is no designated parking but there are plenty of free parking spaces outside and a car park opposite, as well the main town car park 500m away. Even in high season there is usually no problem parking close by.

Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, Ocean  View Apartment is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. For those with families miles of sweeping sandy beaches await you, or perhaps you could explore nearby Harlech Castle – a World Heritage Site.  If you're into cycling or horse-riding there are numerous scenic places to ride and the internationally-famous mountain-biking centre at Coed y Brenin just 20 minutes away. This is a walker’s paradise with the Mawddach Trail & Taith Ardudwy Way very close, whilst the Wales Coast Path passes the front door! For those seeking a little more challenge Cader Idris lies at the head of the Mawddach Estuary, and Snowdon can be reached in less than an hour. If you're not the active type, then how about a ride on the Cambrian Coast railway – one of the UK’s most scenic railway routes all the way along this glorious coast line – or maybe one of the famous narrow-gauge steam railways that proliferate in this corner of Wales?




Entering from the front of the building through the communal entrance hall the apartment is located  on the left of the ground floor.  The entrance hall boasts impressive geometric Victorian floor tiling and an original grand stair case.

Kitchen/breakfast room

Entering the apartment into the kitchen you will be met with the latest architectural & interior design and lifestyle trends. LED & under counter lighting illuminate a wall of impressive split face white sparkle natural stone wall tiles and mirror wall art are a key feature.  Shoe wall storage and coat closet add additional hidden space. 

The kitchen has  a newly fitted  range of ‘shaker style’ kitchen units in classic oak and contemporary cream and an impressive  island unit with copper bar stool seating for 2 and additional church pew .  Designer kitchen tap with spray , built in electric oven and gas hob with extractor hood over, microwave, under counter fridge and washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect in a well presented holiday home.  

Bay fronted living room

The main open-plan living area with a large sash bay window & original period wooden window panelling afford an outlook to the beach and sea from the comfortable window seat.  The glass dining table and ‘Charles Eames’ ‘Eiffle’ inspired designer chairs provide a modern flair. Original plaster ceiling coving & cast iron ceiling rose with an extravagant crystal chandelier dress the high ceilings.  A wood burning fire sits in a period fire surround enhanced with a slate hearth and chimney wall.   The lounge area is wool carpeted and has 2 large luxurious distressed tan leather sofa and floor lamp. There is a 55”  ‘Samsung’  flat screen TV with free view, DVD, CD, radio, phone charger unit and a selection of  games, reading & walking guide books.  

Internal Hallway leads to the bedrooms and bathroom

A corridor-hallway leads to both; double bedrooms, shower-room and bathroom.  Both the bedrooms are carpeted.  The beds have  ‘hotel quality’ linen, plus mattress & pillow protectors.  An iron & ironing board , drying facilities and hairdryer are provided.

Large white wooden Double bedstead  4ft 6” with x 2 bedside 2 drawers tables and lamps.  Foiled finish Console table.

An impressive stone Ingle nook fireplace & slate hearth  with electric log burning stove. Build in wardrobes to each side.  Double glazed French doors lead  to outside. 


Bedroom TWO - sleeps 2

4 ft double divan bed with storage draws,  solid oak side shelfs and lamp. A large  fitted wardrobe and  3 drawers chest.  A padded window seat and wooden shutter blinds.  

Shower room

Fully tiled shower enclosure with mixer shower. Vanity unit sink with tiled splashback, WC , vinyl flooring. Illumined wall lighting with shaving point.


A modern white suite comprising of a shower bath with mixer shower and curved glass shower screen , close coupled WC, vanity unit with inset bowl set into granite worktop, mirror and shelf unit, shaver point, vinyl flooring.

We have a Cot and high chair availble upon request at the premises.

A truly exceptional spacious property for your summer holiday, winter & weekend break.

Short breaks when available out of the main school holidays: Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. Arrivals from 4.00 pm vacate by 10.00 am. A minimum charge of £250 applies to every booking.

Christmas dates 22nd to 29th Dec & New Year 30th December to 5th January 

Where a 1 week minimum applies, our changeover day is SATURDAY.

Prices shown are in pounds sterling per week, inclusive of energy, heating, bedding & towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

Strictly NO PETS sorry.  

We request a 25% deposit on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date. We also ask for a £150 security deposit, which is refundable providing there are no breakages or damage to the property.

We accept payment by BACS bank transfer no charge. Card payments VIA PAYPAL (1.8% fee applies) or by cheque. A £29.95 booking fee is applied to every booking.

"A great place for our weeks holiday. Parked the car opposite the apartment and never used it all week. Barmouth has one of everything, its a wonderful place to go and visit. The owners have put everything into making this a special place to stay, they are expert at making sure we settled in immediately. The apartment's decoration and amenities are outstanding; the attention to detail is absolutely "wowee" The location is a quiet cul-de-sac, a place to commence a walk to town or over the hills with breathtaking views over this majestic river estuary and monumentally enormous sandy beaches extending far away... "This is a very spacious apartment on the ground floor of a victorian i.e. very high ceilings, large rooms etc. The main living room and kitchen is enormous and we loved the decor - there's been plenty of attention to detail. It is in excellent condition and very clean. We couldn't believe what we got for our money compared to the equivalent accomodation type in Devon or Cornwall. Although there's no dedicated parking, this was never a problem as it's not on a main road and there was always a space very close. Although on a slight hill, it's not that steep but has a great view over Barmouth and the beach and the footpath up the hill to some excellent scenic walks is right outside the house. If you like walking, as well as the aformentioned local walk, the rest of Snowdonia is right on the doorstep and we did the beautiful Cader Idris (a classic horseshoe ridge & 3rd highest peak in Wales), which can be seen from Barmouth harbour. Okay, so Barmouth has some of the usual tackiness associated with a UK seaside town but the kids love it and there's plenty of beautiful parts to explore too (the walk across the viaduct/foot bridge across the estuary is adorned by the peaks and well worth it). We normally take our stay-cations in Devon and Cornwall but we'll definitely be back. We had all the same beautiful coastline but with peaks too! Pete H Cheltenham, United Kingdom "
