Lounge Holidays are thrilled to offer this stunning, newly converted, Gothic Style Chapel, sleeping up to 15 guests and offering genuine 5* self-catering, family accommodation.

This former Methodist chapel, originally built in 1871, has been a real labour of love for the present owners and now transformed, it offers a superb, contemporary holiday home with private off road parking plus a lovely garden (rare for a converted Chapel), perfect for large families.
This magnificent mainly ‘open plan’ property offer very spacious accommodation, utilising the former chapel at the front and the vestry to the rear part, but unlike a number of other conversions, it retains many original features, such as the galley and feature ceilings.
No expense has spared to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
All the furniture is ‘hotel quality’ bedding & soft furnishing are beyond what would expect in a boutique style holiday home. There is a lovely landscaped private rear garden and BBQ area to the sides.
There are 2 bed settees for guests, a £35 supplement per extra guest applies.
From the porch, you access a fabulous open plan ‘family entertainments/sitting room’ with the original gallery surrounding it and a stunning high ‘feature ceilings’ original chapel glass lamps, big stained glass picture windows, a huge wood burner and seating area.
The flooring is laminate ‘oak effect’ throughout. There are:

There are 2 leather armchairs and 1 X 3-seater leather settee, plus corner settee.
For your entertainment, there is a 32” Sony TV with Freesat, DVD player, midi sound system, selection of books, DVDs and games.
To the rear is a useful Utility room with:

- Drying space
Keen mountain bikers and outdoor sports enthusiasts will appreciate this room & there is ample bike/equipment storage in the side yard.

To the other side or the Chapel is a spacious area with a GAS BBQ and Rattan Furniture set for relaxing. Bikes and outdoor games are available for the guests.

To the front of the Chapel, 2 set of original stairways lead to the original gallery area, which has been retained and restored and provided a lovely ‘chillout zone’ to enjoy reading and playing games. With original wooden pews & balconies, original glass lamps and a fabulous decorated ceiling, it’s a real credit to the owners that they have preserved this as a true original feature. Books and games are also provided in the elevated sitting area and there are seats all around the gallery. This area provides access to 3 further bedrooms.

Ty Capel or The Chapel House, was built in 1871 and is a really special ‘premier’ holiday home, located close to the town centre in Tywyn, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and only a short walk to a sweeping sandy beach and the world-famous Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, which inspired The Rev Awdry author to write ‘Thomas The Tank’.
Ty Capel is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. Miles of sandy beaches and stunning walks are just a 10 minute walk from the Chapel. As well as this fantastic location, just down the road from Tywyn’s Blue Flag award-winning beach, the town centre with its independent shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, excellent eateries, cinema and leisure centre with pool, is just a minute away.
Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, if you're into cycling or horse-riding there are numerous scenic places to ride and the internationally-famous mountain-biking centre at Coed y Brenin is just 40 minutes away. This is a walker’s paradise with the Wales Coast Path passing along the sea front. For those seeking even more challenges, Cader Idris is just a 15 minute drive and Snowdon can be reached in just over an hour. If you're not the active type, then how about a ride on the ‘must do’ famous Talyllyn Railway, narrow-gauge steam railway right here in Tywyn? Also, Aberdovey Golf Club & harbour is only a 10 min drive.
Short breaks when available outside of the School holidays : Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. In the peak season, the changeover day is MONDAY
A minimum charge of £699 applies for any stay. A £499 security bond is requested.
Prices inclusive of electric, bedding & towels. Please bring your own beach towels.
The Chapel comfortably sleeps 12 people, but we can accommodate 15 (3 sleeping on separate bed settees) A £35 per extra person surcharge applies.
We request a 25% deposit on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date
There is a £39 booking fee. Payments can be made by bacs,cheque and card payments.

Rates shown below are per night or for the whole week. Where a nightly rate is shown, we offer a 4 night midweek break arriving on Monday leaving on Friday and a 3 night weekend break arriving on Friday leaving on Monday.
